A Sick Heart

What makes your heart sick? The Bible says that when hope is deferred it makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12 NIV) The thing that had my heart sick was this; I have always had the dream of going to college and earning my Bachelors and then my Masters but with every attempt something always happens to derail those plans and my heart would become sick. I couldn't understand why I had this desire, which I thought was also a part of God's plan for my life. After my last failed attempt, I had to go back to God and have a conversation; and what I got out of that conversation was for me to look at my life and at what God had done through me over the years. I had to look at the lives I had inspired, the businesses I have and had, the books that I had written and my ability to teach and to be a resource as well as a wealth of information and knowledge. God had fulfilled the longing of my soul without the paper, a man made requirement. I believe that we often think that when God give us a dream for our life that we have to figure out how to accomplish it, and the timing o when it must be done. When we try to solve it we can end up with an Ismael. Waiting is hard, trusting is hard and our human heart can become weary and impatient leading us to a sick heart.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What longing do you have that is making your heart sick, that you may need to hand over to God so that he can show how he has already fulfilled it in ways that you may have overlooked? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Share in the comments and if you would like me to pray for you send me an email request.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #RenewingYourDreams #BecomingWomansNetwork #LifeCoachForWomen #ChristianLifeCoachforWomen #WomenEmpoweringWomen #FindYourPurpose #LiveYourPurpose #MindsetShifts
