A "God-incident"

Have you ever had a "God-incident" where something happened for you, and you knew that it had to be God who did it? Others may say that it was just a coincidence that God was not involved in the story of our lives? I tend to disagree, and scripture backs this up to say that God works all things together for our good and that before we were born, God knew us and ordained us for a purpose. Does that mean that you and I don't have a choice in what we do in and with our lives? Does this mean that I don't have free will? We absolutely have a choice in how we live. God has a plan for us, but we can make decisions. I love to travel, and there are maps and GPS that tells you how to get from point A to point B, with a GPS it will tell you what the fastest route to get there is; and this is where my choice comes in I can say I know how to get to a certain point in my journey because I had been that way before but what I may not know is that there have been changes and detours that are now in place. And the GPS had been attempting to re-route me, but I bypassed its warning to change course, now I am stuck because of obstacles. The plan is still in place, but I am now delayed in reaching my destination and may even need to turn around and go back the way I came, causing further delays and frustration, leading to you giving up. God is showing us each day the way that we need to go; Squire Rushnell calls them "God Winks" daily, we need to ask God to open our eyes so that we may see him and the ways that he is moving. The next time you are tempted to call something a coincidence, remember God is working and winking at you.
